Naqsh-e Jahan Square

Naqsh-e Jahan square means image of the world. It tries to tell that the design of the square reminds world elements. This square, which is known as Imam square now formerly called as Shah square, is located at the center of Isfahan, Iran. This UNESCO site was established between 1598 and 1629, 160 wide to 560 meters long, an area of 89,600 square meters. Naqshe Jahan is the second largest square in the world After Titan Amen. During the times of first kings of Safavid dynasty the square used to be used as the horse polo field and as the parade field for Safavid army. It could be said it used to be the exhibition of horses! This exercise square was changed to a recreation, entertainment, and art or shopping square with the taste of Islam.
